Subtitle: Why Libraries Matter More Than Ever in the Age of Google

The author's point in this book isn't to defend the status quo of libraries but to describe how they can change and continue to meet the needs of the public in an age of changing information.

About halfway through, I thought this was turning into just a long advertisement / awareness campaign for the author's own "Digital Library of America" project, but that only seemed to be one (or two...) chapters.

There was a lot of concern about commercialized interests (like Google / Amazon) having a lot more money / capability to revolutionize how people find and discover information, while the author thinks this should still reside in the hands of trained individuals. I'm over-simplifying that a ton - but I'm also writing this well-after reading the book....
