Picked this up in a binge of library-audiobook-related surfing. I wasn't too sure about it (though, I did grow up on Voyager, so I don't have the hatred of it that other Trekkers do), but then I saw it was read by Robert Picardo and HAD to read it.
It was mostly a wrapper story for several of the characters to tell their back stories (conveniently every main character besides the captain was on an away team and was captured together...). Some of the stories were intriguing enough that I went back and watched the first episode again and finally understood some of what they were talking about! (Since this book was written by one of the series creators, it fell right into canon line)
