If there was a reason I stopped reading science fiction for awhile, this falls into that category. Considering the last half of the book was everyone going around saying "Thou art god", it's a bit blaspheming to say the least. The thing with books like this is how plausible it makes everything sound. And it's not that I just turn a blind eye to it; it's good to consider different possibilities, different interpretations of thought / reality / religion. Just as long as you do it intelligently. Questions are good. Grandiose life changes based on only a single science fiction novel, not so much.
