My first Kindle-Owners-Lending-Library book (i.e. free with our fully-paid Amazon Prime membership). Fun, quick little read about decluttering our lives. Not just material things (though that's a big part), but also things like time, emotions, and contentment.
I haven't done this in awhile, so here are some quotes from my highlights in the book. (Or, highlights of the highlights, if you prefer)
Being discontented is kind of like calling God a bad gifter or a lousy architect for drawing up such terrible blueprints for our lives.
Quantity trumps quality every time. Love is built on time spent, not on how good the time is.
I loved this last quote... I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Naomi was sleeping in my arms at the time...
Peace is taking a nap with a baby in your arms. It’s leaving the office when there’s more work to be done so you can watch your daughter’s dance recital. It’s spending an hour at the end of the day just talking with your spouse or a friend instead of doing what “needs” to be done. And it’s putting less focus on work and more on relationship.
