Weird. Just... weird. I'm not sure I get it (though, of course, that's the point). One reviewer said there's a terrifying 400-page book trying to get out of this, though I'm not sure I was ... all that terrified about the Navidson Record. Just more of an interesting story.... and quite an interesting reading experience, with the 3 layers of footnotes, constant jumping back to sometimes-nonexistent appendices, varying text angles, and the scavenger hunt-like references that ran around some of the chapters.
These pages were crazy big, so even 710 pages feels a bit short. Then again, there are sections of the book that only have a few words on each page. So maybe it all evens out.
