I actually saw this on a Simpsons episode, and Amanda pointed out that I have the book. I wouldn't say I learned anything earth-shattering from it, but he had a very realistic (and, of course, numerous) take on parenthood. Basically, that there is no method to the madness, just always love 'em, even when they do really odd things. (And now, I'm scared again for 10 years from now, when I start having teenagers. Eek!) There was a very formal forward and afterward (not written by Cosby) that I sort of skimmed.... but they seemed very psychological... perhaps to make up for the lack of in-understandable advice throughout the rest of the book. I skimmed the forward.... didn't really read the afterward.... boring! The book itself, however, had me laughing at every page. Fun, quick read!
