Murderbot - the Novellas - Martha Wells (Short Story)

Collection: Murderbot

I realized the new book was out (I'm a little slow, but maybe this will help in the wait for the next book?), so rather than just dive into it, I thought I'd re-read the whole series again.

I realize now why it was such a quick read. Everything except for Network Effect is either a novella or short story. That doesn't really diminish the impact they have. Murderbot is so.... socially inept and new to understanding human interaction beyond its use as just another tool... the times it feels real emotion (often actually spelled out... "I needed to go have an emotion...") are so much more impactful as it realizes people actually care about it.

(I probably shouldn't write too much here, since I ALSO just finished Network Effect, which had even MORE of that in it...)

Anyway - definitely love this series... and would give MB a hug if it wouldn't be totally repulsed by it.

Also wish Sanctuary Moon was something real I could experience for myself. Come on, Martha - get working on that world-building!
