I've had a bit of a reading lull this summer, so on a whim, I picked this up. I thought it was one of the books I had picked up in the last year from recommendations in my Colson Fellows program, but after reading it, I think not. It's actually from ~2015, so I really don't know why it was on my shelf (maybe I picked it up on our vacation from a used book store??).
Anyway - I certainly like the premise - I've been talking to my kids about how offense is "taken" not "given" - in other words, it's your own choice to be offended at something or not. I DO feel like the book veered a bit too much into the "Love above truth" ditch because there are certainly some things that should stir us up for action. But ultimately, if you believe God is ultimately in control, any offensive things you might encounter are more likely against Him than you. Unless you're being a jerk, that is. Then maybe.... stop?
Anyway - this was either a quick read...or it had been way too long since I was able to stay away from my phone for an extended period of time. I started this one on a Sunday afternoon....and finished it before bed.
