After the last "big" book of King's really turned me off, I was hesitant about this one. I think I've had it in my notebook to read for several years, actually.
I definitely went through it quickly, that's for sure. I told myself not to get too attached to any characters, lest he pull another "Under the Dome" and kill anyone meaningful. So I wasn't too surprised when bad things happened. Yet, with that being said, the book had a satisfying, if not quite as idyllic as hoped-for-partway-through-but-of-course-not-expected-this-is-a-King-novel-after-all ending.
