Who Stole My Church - Gordon MacDonald

A la "Five Dysfunctions of a Team" this was a semi-true story but written as a fictional narrative. A New England traditional church is going through some changes and facing resistance from some of it's long-time members. The pastor starts a weekly "Discovery Group" to look into various issues that the church has dealt with in the past and to discover why certain people feel the way they do and also discover what really needs to happen if their church is going to survive the next few years. There was a lot of good stuff in here, though I felt the first half of the book was a bit more coherent. I really wanted to hear what was going on in the meetings they were having, and by the second half, they were going several weeks between meetings.

Lots of good discussion and outcomes, though. I'd say this is a must-read for any traditional church that wants to change to fit the times, but faces stubborn resistance. It certainly won't persuade everybody, and it's not like it's a manual for "how to do change" - but there's a lot of good stuff in it.
