The original Books page had a list of each book grouped by year with unique intros each year. Then for awhile it was a single ginormous list which you see before you. Now it's more manageable and searchable back on the Reading lists page.

Also, there were some fun graphs I played around with for a few years when I was counting pages.

Old Intros

• 2017 - Mid-spring here, and I haven't added any books since last October. I might try to do some catching-up, but perhaps not much reviewing.
• 2015 - I was going to stop, and maybe I'll do a bit less reviewing, but this is still a very helpful place to record what I've read and liked.
• 2014 - The end of 2013 seemed to feel like I was rushing a lot to just finish books and add them to the list. I wrote down everything I read including graphic novels. Nothing particularly wrong with that, but reading became a little less enjoyable. I told myself that in 2014, while I'd continue to write down books I read and (hopefully) some sort of review for each one, I was going to stop the page count. For one, it's not a great indicator of the volume of my reading, and for two, it's making reading more of a game than something I do to better myself. Well... gamification is actually a good motivator for some things. But, I'll cease my ramblings (for now) and go code in a "noPages" parameter to my book list function.
  March update - My nephew is getting me seriously into comic books. Since I'm not keeping page counts anymore, I figured I'd write down something about each comic I read. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out which books are comics/graphic novels (unless you're using Lynx, in which case... go you).
• 2013 - Wow, 2012 was productive. Think I can beat it this year?
• 2012 - I'm still writing them down; might as well continue keeping track here!
• 2011 - Mainly thanks to my Kindle, I've been reading a lot more since last November. Time to start keeping reviews again somewhere.
  November 26 update - Things seem pretty sparse for the last couple months... I have a couple excuses - I've been reading through the whole Bible and actually making it this year. I'm on track to finish before the end of the year, so I may add a huge entry right at the end. Also, I've been listening to a 13-book dramatized series, so my audiobooks haven't been updating, either. And frankly, I just don't always remember to update this. I need to convince myself that this isn't a race or a game to see who gets the most points, but just an interesting record of the books I've read and what I thought about them.
• 2010 - Disclaimer! I definitely read books in 2010, but I didn't keep track throughout the year. But as I thought about it, I could come up with at least some of the books I read. The list is hardly comprehensive, but I realized my database is a lot easier than trying to write a bunch of HTML by hand. Plus, most dates are on the first of the month, because I really have no idea when I finished the books!
• 2009 - Pastor Brian just mentioned reading books as a good means of continuing education. I've been reading a lot, though I'm not exactly sure what I'm reading. I meant to keep track in 2009, so how about here... I listen to some audio books, read some on my pocket PC, and read some normally, so that's what the src column is for. The F/NF one should be self-explanatory. Maybe I should put a date in here...
• Before 2009 - So, obviously, I can't write down every book I've ever read, since it would probably be in the hundreds or even thousands. But if there's a book I particularly liked, or otherwise know I've read (from my Audiobook archive or digital lists somewhere), I maybe will have added it here. Dates are irrelevant, since they'd only be an approximation anyway.
